The Chicks’ are on the loose in the Museum searching for the giant golden egg. Join the hunt to see if you can find the hidden egg and chick’s by following the trail around the Museum. Children can then get creative and become their favourite Easter animal by decorating a mask or finger puppet of their choice. There’s a chocolate egg for every child.

Enjoy the Easter weekend at the Horniman with the whole family. Go on our Easter trail, create something crafty at our workshops, have your face painted and join in family activities across the gardens.  There will also be The Ugly Duckling Storytelling performances by Sandal Sticks Theatre at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm. Pre-book for this – maximum 2 adults per child. Tickets £5.00 per child, £1.00 per adult.

Join us in the Hands on Base to meet the most unlikely duckling hero and hear the story of the duck who was different. This much loved classic tale has been adapted into an interactive storytelling performance for the Horniman by Sandal Sticks Theatre. Featuring song and puppetry, The Ugly Duckling is a heart-warming tale for all the family.

We’ve team up with the Lambeth branch of the National Autistic Society, for a day of activities in the Imagination Lab and the Engine Hall for children, adults, families, parents and professionals. If you are a Lambeth resident, you are eligible for free tickets. Please contact hello@ioi.london to request your discount code.

There will be sensory areas for children to play with texture, senses, nature and sound. There will also be a digital focus with robotics, virtual reality and coding activities. These activities are aimed at children with SEN and their siblings, so families can explore and play together. There will also be over 20 different stalls and activities to explore.
